Through human intervention dogs (and to some degree, cats) come in a staggering array of shapes and sizes. Many of these “man-made” breeds come with serious health concerns directly related to their unnatural anatomy. While breeders bear some responsibility for producing these animals, they are really only responding to consumer demand. If we want animals to be bred to be healthier, we need to stop buying deformed/dysfunctional animals.
